Awareness - Brain Gym® - Commitment
Founded and funded by Mahati Belnick, RoCoFo has initiated projects to educate, empower and engage children and youngsters from disadvantaged economic, physical or emotional backgrounds, who have a history of chronic failure and poor self-concept, to teach and train them in strategies to turn their failures to success.
The participants in these programs include,
- School Drop-Outs
- Bottom of the class students in govt. schools
- Child of alcoholic, drug addicted parent/s
- Child whose parent is seriously ill or impaired
- Child lacking nurturing from parents
- Child from violent & dysfunctional families
- Child of mothers or fathers who committed suicide
- Children and Youth with impairment in physical, emotional or intellectual development
- Children of rural labourers
Mahati Belnick personally works in all RoCoFo initiatives with enthusiastic assistance from inspired volunteers. The popularity and demand for these programs is now increasing beyond current capacity to service.
To reach more children, Government schools, villages, and severely polio affected youth, RoCoFo needs more resources, maintenance, trained personnel, volunteers and vehicles, modified to transport physically and intellectually impaired young people safely.
RoCoFo invites social investors and sponsors, individual and institutional, to participate in our efforts to re-claim the valuable energy, talent and contribution of our children from getting lost in the gap of human neglect.

RoCoFo Free-of-Cost Projects
- In selected Govt. Schools in Pondicherry and surrounds – In-School Teacher training in Brain Gym concepts and practice
- Supervision of implementation of Brain Gym by trained teachers before each class period for benefit of all students
- To educate teachers and management to grant permission to access drinking water and freedom to practice Brain Gym during class time for every student in accordance with their learning need
- Special training, and supervision of implementation of Brain Gym and specialized Movement programs for Govt. School teachers of visually handicapped, hearing impaired and mental development inhibited children
- Group and individual sessions for children and school drop-outs in Govt. and charitable trust schools who are chronically failing.
- Group and individual personal development sessions for severely (both legs) polio affected youth( this enormously popular program is currently suspended due to lack of suitable transport to bring participants to venue)
- Training and support for Village Day Care Centre Teachers to implement Move to Learn developmental movements program, while identifying children with special difficulties for further assistance

- First-Aid
- Peaceful Conflict-Resolution
- Village Clean-Up: Removal of litter and bagging of plastic bags for careful disposal
- Planting and caring for Chutri Fruit trees and Chutri Community Salad Vegetable Garden.
- Composting all bio-degradable waste from Chutri Kitchen
- Preparing and eating delicious sprouts, raw vegetable and fruit salads.
- Art and Craft classes
- Chanting, Bhajan and Kirthan singing classes for Chutri Children’s Bhajan Troupe
- Music instrument playing classes: harmonium, mridangam, tabla, flute, cymbals, clappers
- Sports and Games
- Story reading or telling
- Building Ecological Playground
- Library of books, games and audio books
- Spoken English classes
- Theatre sport, dancing and acting classes
- Brain Gym®
