Course Description
BRAIN Gym 101
The first Edu-K course offered over 4 days is a paradigm shifting course. A model of education is offered to obtain exciting boundary breaking outcomes by including the body in the learning process. Brain Gym 101 course teaches the language and key concepts of Edu-K, its unique system of evaluation, the basic Edu-K balance formats for whole brain/body integration and their application, and the world famous Brain Gym® movements . The course provides a choice of clearly structured, easily applicable simple movement programs that help draw out blocked learning capabilities and refine brain function for future performance.
This is a practical course that teaches a self-directed system that immediately empowers the individual with Edu-K action strategies to access emotional balance and sustained improvement in reading, writing, spelling, maths, gross motor, and communication and organization skills.
Brain Gym 101 Advanced
Once the structures and mechanics of the Brain Gym 101 course are learnt, then the material is re-presented over 4 days in Brain Gym 101 Advanced in the Edu-K theoretical frame. Learning disabilities and behavior problems are traced to the role played by stress in suppressing the learning potential, lags in the three tiered brain developmental stages, the functions of brain structures and systems in movement development, learning and behavior. The Edu-K model of education can be understood in its distinctive practical approach that begins with identifying and addressing the physical readiness of the individual by building a firm physiological foundation for learning, using movement programs to complete developmental gaps in the three dimensions of brain function, namely focus, centering and laterality.
Optimal Brain Organization
This 3 day course offers the Edu-K methods for quickly identifying the innate patterns for learning influenced by bilateral sensory-motor and brain hemisphere relationship. This brain-body organization profile of an individual account for their ability to process information, preferences or aversions for particular coordinated, social and learning activities, and self-inhibiting learning habits. The combination of the best of traditional knowledge of Brain Dominance with Edu-K’s optimal brain integration through multisensory movement program, has contributed to making the OBO Course an exceptionally effective approach for building on the comforts of existing brain organization and enabling the learner to ease into learning patterns that use whole brain circuitry. As with all Edu-K courses, OBO is offered in an experiential format, and provides simple and elegant procedures for drawing out hitherto unacknowledged talents and latent potential to make learning a whole-brain function an ever more enjoyable experience.
Vision Circles
This enlightening 4 day course, offers insight and revelations for personal growth as many perspectives of perception are experienced and explored through art, play and educational field trips. Vision Circles is a course for facilitating wholistic vision, one that encompasses dynamically interweaving circles of expanded inner perception and flowing tactile, visual, auditory and kinesthetic experiences. Students will learn the eight vision circles balance procedures and 32 Vision Gym® movement program. The individual’s natural visual skills and sensory awareness as well as cognitive abilities and expressions are all enhanced as the movement based Vision Circles program restores and reintegrates wholistic vision with the information processing and information retention-retrieval systems.
Touch for Health Synthesis 1
This 3 day course offers an opportunity to meet the acupuncture world and to learn how it interfaces with the functioning of various organs of the body. You will learn how to gain further information about muscle monitoring and a number of different ways to balance the system and to relieve stress and pain in the body to regain vibrancy and vitality. In Touch for Health 1, 14 pairs of muscles, their origin and insertion, monitoring procedures and balance through correction of their corresponding neuro-lymphatic, neuro-vascular and acupuncture points and meridians will be taught. This information is fun to learn and prepares Edu-K students for applying these balancing systems within an Edu-K In –Depth balance context. Applying this knowledge will be part of the Learning Menu of the In -Depth balance procedures.
In-Depth
The Edu-K In Depth: Seven Dimensions of Intelligence is a life enhancing training course that builds on the three dimensions experienced in Brain Gym® 101. In India we are offering this 10-day Advanced Edu-K In Depth training so that students will leave with a new confidence to use this amazing work on a regular basis as professional Educational Kinesiologists in their Edu-K private consultation sessions. Day 1 of the Edu-K In Depth course will provide an opportunity to review and expand aspects of the Brain Gym101 course that apply directly to Edu-K In Depth. It is a day to ensure that students have the solid foundation of not only the three dimensions but also specific techniques that will be used again and again as they make a smooth transition to using the advanced processes in the In-Depth training.
The In-Depth training increases understanding of Laterality Dimension (Communication), Centering Dimension (Organization) and Focus Dimension (Comprehension), and adds four new dimensions of brain/body integration.
Motivation Dimension – deals with attitude and sabotage in the mind body system.
Cranial Dimension – highlights the rhythms of the body. Gain an understanding of cranial movement and its relationship to learning and expression.
Breathing Dimension – relates to personal power and releasing of learned compensatory breathing responses to stress in our lives.
Body Regulation Dimension – creates the appropriate brain chemistry to enhance learning in any situation.
The In-Depth training focuses on the inter-relationship between the seven dimension of brain/body intelligence and how they are uniquely expressed in each individual - Structurally, Emotionally, Energetically and Ecologically - in inhibited and integrated learning behaviors. Multi-dimensional correction techniques and systems are used to bring about changes to ingrained patterns, to effect personal transformation and to fine tune brain/body integration to experience personal fulfillment and happiness.
Brain Gym Teacher Practicum
A 10 day course, for which a generous amount of time, space and support is provided for the culmination of the Edu-K professional training, in its practicum stage, to bring forth inspiring educators. The Brain Gym Teacher Practicum aims to facilitate in the graduating professionals a greater sensitivity for the finer levels of understanding of Edu-K theory and practice and extend their applications for professional career growth, drawing on the wealth of personal and group experience students have gained during this unique 8 month training period. A safe and caring practicum environment is offered to each student to enable confident communication with the community, with clients and other professionals. Upon fulfilling graduation criteria, certificates are issued by the Educational Kinesiology Foundation, and certified graduates will be eligible to become licensed instructors of the Brain Gym 101 course and practice as Educational Kinesiology consultants.
Specialization Courses
After becoming a Professional Educational Kinesiologist, further specialization training will be available for you to work in the Corporate Sector and in Management, Sales and Marketing, Special Needs, Health & Healing and Sports Applications with leading experts in the field from around the world.
Edu-K Internship:
- 7 months RoCoFo Edu-K Internship
- Open to young Indian and International students
- Work with Mahati Belnick in Children’s Homes, with school-drop outs, in the villages with rural children and in Govt. Schools with chronically failing students in the Pondicherry-Auroville vicinity
